because the secondary ve matches the primary so all the changes you made to it before were prob wrong. you need to retune the ve table

I see you're from New Orleans. Are you there now or in Houston? Either way, if you want to come to me, I'll tune it for you. You can either use your laptop and software, or you can spend $100 for an EFILive license so I can use mine. I've never used HPTuners before, but I can't imagine that I wouldn't be able to use it. You can just buy me lunch or something for my time.

I don't think I've heard of him. How far of a drive is it? I'm too lazy to use Mapquest.

go out ona long drive maybe 30 min after you are out of fuel trim cells 20-22 which is a few minutes after start up. drive around for maybe 5-10 min and then start to log. log your fuel trims and then go back and make changes to the primary ve, then you have to copy over cells from the primary to the secondary, starting at 20 kpa up to 100 kpa in intervals of 10

Respectfully, My advice is that you read the stickies at the top of this forum. There are many good links to other threads and even full writeups that cover the basics in excruciating detail. While many forum users are here to help out, you need to take the first initiative and understand the basics. While nobody minds answering a specific question, i believe youre looking for a more complete and broad spectrum instructional. WS6FirebirdTA00 cant reply to "How do I tune" for every new user!

Start here my man: Plent of info to get you going!

Hmm, that's a long way to drive with warrants. I might consider driving up there. I don't know. I wish you would come down here as I'm lazy. I drive an 02 Z/28 with a couple mods. If we can work something out, I'd be glad to tune it for you.

Surging with a cam can be due to lower ve near idle due to overlap, exhaust reversion etc.
This also requires additional timing to get more complete combustion.
This is hard to pick up with a wideband as combustion can be erratic. There are some good threads by others about idle tuning with a cam.
You can try taking a look at them too.
