Autotap Data Collection Rate?
Thanks
Hit enter on an item, and you will get a menu that says slow, medium, or fast.. by selecting slow it won't update as fast so you'll get more info from the other data that your looking to monitor.
When monitoring WOT LTFT's, I'll put them on slow because they won't change at WOT.. so there would be no need to update the value at a faster rate.

I know the logging feature of autotap ain't the greatest. I have also not done testing to prove me or you right or wrong.. I'm just thinking..
I have done many many logs.. in the 100's.. I log quite often.
If I add 10 items.. 1 being RPM.. they all are set to fast.. I could see the RPM increment being rather large.. maybe 500 rpm's.
Lets say I set them all to slow except RPM which is still at fast.. I could see the rpm increment in the log coming down to maybe 300.
What do you think?
Page 15 of my Autotap manual says...
"Removing unwanted parameters will speed up the acquisition of desired parameters. Also note that the update rate setting has no effect on the logging function. All parameters are updated at the same rate."

When we start logging/overriding spark and fuel maps - timing is critical, so we bump the refresh rate to 20 frames per second with 6 data items.

Logs and updates faster than autotap but is a little more technical. Its also cheaper.
Logging speed is very critical. The more data results, the more there is to analyze and the better picture you you will have of how the car is performing.
