never heard that problem... I am sure somebody would have picked it up by now with all the dynoing going after tuning.

[quote]what is the sense if the only option for programming is that you can' t use the power of the updated parts due to "torque management" issues.

Torque management can be both tweaked and removed AFAIK also, so I don't see how that issue is any bit applicable either?

By the way, I am told this is a C5 problem only. So it explains why if you don't have a C5 you will not see it. For the record, I do expect it to be corrected, I just want to know if it is done before I have the mods done. I already have two PCM's that have the problems and I would like to know it will not be an issue with this programming.

Hmmm... now it's not any car, it's just C5's.
Again, where do you get this info?

Dennis,
I am very surprised at this Post. Your car hasn't been done yet. YOu have no idea if you will have this problem. Cartek does have one 98 Vette that won't shift reliably at higher RPM's. It is the only car I know that is having this problem. If you are so worried about it, why didn't you tell me when we talked two weeks ago. Instead you cross post this on several boards, when your car isn't even done yet.

[quote]I heard that when you have your car tuned using LS1 edit, and it is an automatic, you can't shift it above 6400 rpm. Has anybody else had this
problem ??? I know of at least one car that has the problem, so it is not rumor, and that it was stated " we are working on correcting it, but have
not idea when it will be ". If you are planning on having mods done to your car, as I am, what is the sense if the only option for programming is that you can' t use the power of the updated parts due to "torque management" issues. Being as the problem is in the design of the LS1 edit, you can't have any tuners who use it make it any better, your stuck with it !! NOT EXACTLY A GOOD RECOMMENDATION FOR THIS PROGRAMMING ...... IS IT !!

Although I do not believe his method of delivery of the above ranting is appropriate (cutting / pasting in to a half dozen or so threads), I will let the question stand on its own. I have no idea as to the answer, although I know the Carputing guys very well (have been working with them for over 2 1/2 years now), and if there even really is a problem, I have no doubt they would find and fix it. Seems to me like a 'sour grapes' post for some reason or the other.
