13.9 A/F ratio or .88 via 02 readings

.88-.89 or maybe even a .90

but the upper .88's-.89 are best for NA

I can just flip my ported ends(MAF) around and go from .90-.92 down to .88-.89

13.9? I've never seen a recommendation that high for A/F ratio on a naturally aspirated LS1 application. You sure you didn't mean 12.9? Not that his word is gospel, but Ed Wright says that most LS1's make the best power on a dyno with 13.0-13.1, and best at the track with 12.8-12.9 due to the additional load.

Most seem to concur the O2's are best in the range of .87-.91, but they don't always correlate to the same A/F ratio on all cars. If at all possible, set the A/F ratio using a wideband instead of the O2's.

Agree the 13.9 afr would be a real bad idea, closer to 13.0 would be better. I dont even look at the stock o2s so not sure what they should be.

You can ignore your stock O2's as far as WOT is concerned - they lack both the precision and the accuracy to be usefull tools in that respect.

At WOT on a dynojet I would shoot for 12.5-12.8:1 at the torque peak, and up to about 13-13.1:1 at the hp peak. Remember actual full load A/F ratios will be a few tenths leaner than dynojet readings.

The best answer is where your car runs the quickest.

DITTO! The lesson I learned is every car has it's own ideal tuning based on a lot of variables (external and internal)...kinda like a comparing people's personality traits. I always thought of my car as a second wife anyway. I'm still trying to find the right "combination" with my first one...

my mistake 12.9 not 13.9. 13.9 would be running lean. That was definetly a typo.

Well my first dyno my air fuel was 12.0 talk about way rich. I made one click lean on the wot my air fuel went up to 12.5 and I gained 10 hp made one more click lean and got my air fuel up to 12.9 I gained 10 more horse I gained 20 hp just from dialing my car in right on the dyno. Very pleased with the results.
Cant wait to get some track times tomorrow
