On N/A vehicles I shoot for 12.6-12.8:1 at torque peak and 12.8-13.1:1 at hp peak and redline. Soem like to be richer then others though. Some liek to be leaner too. This is just a good starting point if you are not on the dyno or at the track to see were you are making more power.

With no other changes going from 12.6:1 to 12.5:1 at peak torque netted me 3bhp and ft/lb so I can say that 12.5:1 is best for my speed density mode 2000 LS1 (HSV R8 M6)

About 90% of my H/C cars run 12.5-1 A/F.I've found a 12.5-1 A/F runs faster than 13-1 A/F tuned cars.

12.0 below peak tq
12.2 for peak tq
12.8 for peak hp
12.6 above peak hp

This AFR along with a slight increase to timing (1~3 degrees advance) netted me ~0.2 seconds and ~2mph over the factory tune.

I run ~12.5 up to peak torque, where it goes down to about 12.44 (@ 4800 RPMs), and then I lean it out to ~13.0 for the rest of the RPM range. My car definitely likes being richer before peak torque...that's for sure. No track times to back it up though...

Even with leaning it out a bit up top, I'm still seeing 83% injector duty cycle with only full exhaust, a little intake, but still stock internals.

Holy crap you are at 83%...I need to scan my car again and see where my IDC is. I did not really pay attention because, I have read in several places that the stock fuel system is good for more RWHP than I am pushing.

I know some guys running cam only that are over 100% duty cycle...I think you can fairly safely run up to almost 100% without too many problems, but it is definitely not recommended, as it just may not be consistent enough.

I run 12.6 off the line at low to peak torque, up to 13.1 in the upper range.

At least SVO 30#ers. My stock internal '02 with the 28lb injectors is at 83% duty cycle already.

I tuned a cam only 2500hd the other day with stock injectors...over 110% duty cycle!!!!Yikes Would lean out to 13.4:1 up top, time for injectors. It still has manifolds and stock intake.
