ls1edit question, how does it learn your vin#
I noticed that the VIN number didn't lock in until I actually programmed the PCM. It asks if you are sure about the PCM before locking it in.
cause it asked me if i wanted to verify the vin or not...
reading the PCM it didnt ask me anything
<strong>wht happens if you click the do not lock vin option... can you program the car?

I have 2 PCM's for my car. Can I read and program both, since they both have the same VIN , with a single user LS1EDIT <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
Also, once you 'lock' on to one PCM &/or VIN, with programming, will I still be able to 'read' and upload a PCM in another car <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

LS1-edit locks to a PCM, NOT a VIN <img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" />
It locks programming, not reading.
You can always read any LS1 PCM anytime <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> , Dave said <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

i just ordered ls1edit for myself, they told me 3 weeks, going to be a long 3 weeks. anyone know if i ever get another ls1 can i send the cable back and add a second user for only $100? also when they get the 01 and 02 ready to go do you think they will sell one unit that covers all years, 97-02? and is that the 6months of free upgrades they are talking about? anyone see any benifit to paying the extra cash for the extended software upgrade period?
