Default calibrating 42#ers on ls1 edit.

I dont have the motorsports turbo kit YET, but i want to go ahead and get the injectors on the car so i can see how they respond etc.

where do i go on edit?

car is heads/cam 8.75:1 compression.

*currently running fastchips stage 2 h/c tuning*
about .910 wot and 30* timing, no KR stock 28# injectors.

yeeehaw....my kinda post....what type of regulator are you running? Is it vacuum and boost referenced...example...does your fuel pressure go up/down constantly according to throttle input? That has worked great for me. No intank regulator and a vaccum/boost referenced regulator in the return before the tank...I use 5.51 as the injector constant all the way across. If you are using a boost only referenced regulator (fp stays at 60 except under boost) then you will want to use the excel spreadsheet that someone came up with awhile back. Do a search in Forced induction for spreadsheet and it should turn up.

i have the stock regulator now, will be switching to whatever mr. raymer supplies.

for now it just hangs around 60psi at all throttles.

so you used 5.51.. that the only thing i need to change? there are a bazillion do-dads on edit. (tried it out tonight)

ed also locked my pcm (found out tonight).. what are my options? can i just read my friends 98 6 speed and write that over eds program or do i HAVE to have it completely reflashed.

if i buy another computer will there be a vin conflict?

Ok if yours stays at 60 DONT use 5.51 all the way across. You need to find that spreadsheet post about injector constant. You will need a complete reflash I got a pcm from a different car..vin is different and all...just remember ls1edit will lock to whatever pcm you tell it to the first time it programs.

You can't just scale the injector size?

lots of info if you search...

a spreadsheet in this post listed below can help you scale...

nick A said i would not be albe to read ed's file, but i could write over it.. so i got a friends 98 6 speed file.. was just going to try to write over it with that..

i inputted values from godspeed already.. the one he listed for 42# svo's going from 6.45-7.06

i found that in a thread where he posted.. i reformatted my computer and dont have excel yet so i cant check the whole spreadsheet.

Also each car has of course it's own VIN number so just flashing with someones elses it would have a different VIN number.
Also Ls1edit does not overwrite the whole flash, just what is needed in the tables.

You need to go to a dealer or someone who has Tech-II or GM's SPS reflash programmer and brute force flash.
If it was me I'd demand the vendor give you back your flash intact since he did not own it to start with to lock you out of your own car's PCM
