Default MAF high frequency

I was spraying a dry shot today at the track and noticed I picked up a SES light for, MAF - High Frequency.

What exactly does this mean?

Sounds like to might have maxxed out the MAF. If you have software you can raise this value..

Over 13kHz will kick the MAF high frequency code and
I don't believe you can change that value. You just
went over the top, I expect, though it's also possible
that some of it has to do with fooling the electronics
(like the shot hits one or another of the bridge resistors
rather than being well mixed into the main stream).

The exact code:
P0103 - Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor Circuit High Frequency (Immature)

Will the MAF not operate under these conditions, after it has reached 'high frequency'? What exactly happens after this point?

Thanks for the ideas.

If your MAF was at the ragged edge of throwing a code, here is a possible cause. In theory, injecting nitrous, even far down stream from the MAF, will increase the air flow thru the MAF. This is caused by the 'latent heat effect' when a liquid (nitrous and fuel) change to a gas and cools the air stream. This cooled air contracts causing more air to be drawn thru the MAF. If I remember correctly, NOS claimed that over 30% of the extra power from nitrous is due to this effect.

Sorry to drag this up from the dead, but I'm getting the same code on a N/A application. What did you do to resolve your issue?

Would you have to change to a bigger MAF?
