If it's not out next month, I will buy LS1Edit. I would have already bought it, but then I read the Diablo was coming out. Like, over a month ago. Can't wait forever, I have mods to do.

Any other LS1s tested and dynoed yet??
Why should I get a Diablo over LS1edit or dyno tuning?
Sell it to me

Nick

I did, was part of the R+D test program a couple months ago, since I am but 15 minutes away from them. The first ATI supercharged 2001 TA. This is the base ATI kit, not GWP, upgraded to the 3.2 pulley and using the FMU. I wanted a custom tune to remove the FMU and setup for the new 36# injectors. Still using the supplied inline fuel pump from ATI, 255lph I believe.

My final run on a VERY HOT day after back to back Dyno runs, no cool down period. UNCORRECTED 488RWHP 455RWTQ. Which should be over 500HP on a cool run, as I said uncorrected, it was the final run of the day with 93 degrees and 80% humidty at the time of the last run. My first run was 467HP first thing in the morning on a cold engine. That run was made at 80 deg with bit less humidity. Not only did they increase the power totals, even though the engine and ambient temps were hotter by the end of the day, but the over all average on TQ and HP was much much better. More TQ from 2000RPM all the way up to peak, from 2200 up to 4500 there was an average of 28 more foot pounds.

So they dyno tuned with adjustments for new larger injectors, moved my shift to 6400 and they also removed the skip shift from the computer. No more CAGS reisitors. What it comes down to is that they CAN and WILL do custom/dyno tuning, however you will have to go to their establishment or another shop with a wide band and do some runs. The custom tuning requires an addtional fee to the unit costs. But this is why cars like mine are being probed so you WON'T have to because you will be able to download different TUNES off the web from a car much like yours that has had it done on the dyno.

I don't really care to hear what it can do as far as hp gains etc.

What can you edit, what can be changed, what can be altered, what can be disabled???

If you say your fueling and timing.. that's great... LS1 edit can do that. Gaining HP is just a matter of tuner.. it's just a calibration.

I'm doing a 5.3 conversion.. can the Diablo disable codes & such, so that I can do away with the rear 02s, or smog stuff? Can I change the injector data, if I go with different injectors? Can I alter the MAF tables??

You could gain 30hp in a vehicle just by changing the timing, but if I had only access to timing tables, I am not going to buy it.

You have to accept that people are skeptics, especially when all we hear is a stark raving lunatic raving how good the product is, infomercial style

Hey, I'm new on this board, but a little input.............

They tested the predator on my car Thursday
99Trans Am automatic, bone stock, absolutely no mods.

I gained 23 rwhp and 22 ftlbs torque at the wheels.

they changed my fuel, my timing, adjusted my shift points.........I understand they can firm up your shifts on an auto also, but mine shifted pretty hard already. It can also compensate for a gear change, and probably a lot more I didn't need since my car is so stock.

Really good seat of the pants difference too, I annihilated a Z28 (about 98 or 99) on the way home from Boca. I didn't just beat him, I put some tractor trailer lengths on him. He was probably stock, although he had an exhaust and a 6 speed.

oh yeah, they said they could change the rev limiter and some other stuff too!

sorry, not too technical, but I'm really new to the LS1 thing. I've had this one a couple years and never modded it, have really been spending times with the mustangs.

I'm certainly happy with the results and good luck to Steve and Johan at Diablosport for including me in their test. Let the modding begin!

They did three of my buddies cars recently. Supposedly showed big gains on the dyno. NONE of them picked up ANY mph at the track!! Buyer beware. Just simply making an observation!

Sign me up for testing.

My T/A is a very typical bolt on car. The local dyno is 15 minutes away. I'll load Diablo and dyno then dump the programing and dyno again back to back on the same day.

I'll get the graphs scanned and post results.

I also have HPP3 and would be willing to test it along side, stock tune and Diablo tune.

Email me if interested.

Also, where are you located? You'll need to be near Boca Raton or be willing to make the drive. They are also testing for bugs w/in the system. They're not going to send you a Predator to try through the mail.

I don't think that 23rwhp and 22ftlbs gain is possible on a stock LS1.

What?! Won't send one out for testing away from their shop? Sounds like the EWP of a few months ago.

Guess I'll have to wait and see if this thing works. Sounds like a good argument to just get LS1Edit and forget this product.
