Default O2'S fouled

Anybody out there have any input on the way Ls1's run/sound with fouled O2'S? I have a ticking noise right behind my wheels and it is also noticable from the engine bay. Anybody have any sound clips? Input?

Ticking at the engine is usually spark arcing out an internal engine noise or an exhaust leak. Is there any problems or is it just a ticking noise while running?

wrencher....I have checked for leaks...check the rods and valves...the plugs and wires are new. I spoke with a local shop to me and they told me it could be the 02'S and I hear the knocking echo through the headers. This didn't start happening until I installed the headers. I think the car starting running rich after the install and fouled the 02'S.

If you had a o2 problem you will get a ses light. You got cats,or orp's? This noise at idle or all rpm's. Sounds like you are describing an exhaust leak by the collectors.

I have the same problem...I have checked for leaks a hundred times and still have not found anything. I am still runnin a bit on the rich side but haven't had any front O2 issues as of yet. I have been told it may to exhaust gases in the headers, but have a hard time believeing that one.
I installed the headers about 4 months ago and the noise was there right from the get go. It has all the tell tell sighns of a leak but have like I said have found none. If ya happen to discover what the issue is I would love to know what it is...

Its not an exhaust leak...The headers have been off and on....trust me ... It's not rods, valves, springs...I dunno...It's a tick though...I guess it could be a lifter but wouldnt it run a little shitty if a lifter was bad? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

when my drivers side 02 went south I know it big time.. Car sputtered and ran like dog crap down low!! I could smell raw fuel als all.. Fouled all 4 plugs on the bad 02 side also!

also i got a SES light from the bad 02 saying low 02 sensor reply or something like that.

if a 02 is totally gone you will know it for sure <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

What about the AIR check valves fluttering? There is a restrictor mod up here somewhere to eliminate it.

Just a thought!

I just found my ticking yesterday. It's a bloody injector. Quiet when cold, noisy when hot and under light load, put it to the rug and it's quiet again.

I had a ticking... I had changed the plugs and wires. Then I put macs on... when I pulled the plugs, three of them were finger tight <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> I mean loose. If you just changed plugs... check that. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
