Has anyone mentioned EFI tunes diesels? I'll bet you use a tuner that doesn't. So he can tune a bus. You can't.
I couldn't help myself either.

By default i think it does it have you messed with any of the configuration settings
$299 upgrade fee " for cost of hardware" and the Workshop guys get the ls2/ls7 and transmission controllers for free.. What is not to love about that? That is a MAJOR price break. IF i wasnt an EFILive customer, i would be now...

In the tune tool, goto Options->Scanner, place checkmark next to the following:
"Highlight Scan Tool selection in Tune Tool Maps"
"Runway highlighting"
In the tune tool, goto Configure Display Units, and set the
Data Units, Column Units and Row Units of the tables you're interested in
to match the PID units in the scan tool chart;
e.g. if scan tool chart shows MAP in kPa and DYNAIR in g/s,
then set the Data/Col/Row units for these in the tune tool to the same (see the red text below...)
To set units in the tune tool Configure Display Units window, do these three steps:
a. click twice on the heading "Data Units" to sort this column;
all the same units are now grouped alphabetically;
highlight all the same units, right click, go Data Units and select either Metric or Imperial;
repeat for next group of units, etc.
b. do same thing for "Column Units".
c. do same thing for "Row Units".
You can have mixed Imperial/Metric units for different objects...
I have MPH for speed, degrees F for temperature, kPa for pressure, g/s for airflow, etc.
Then position the cursor some place on a chart in the scan tool (say at 4000 RPM and 40 psi MAP), then open the VE table in the tune tool and the cell in which 4000 RPM and 40 psi MAP fall is highlighed and cross-haired ("runway highlight").
Should already be on, though.

I am leaning heavily towards purchasing EFI live-but what does $699 give me? Meaning does it include the I/O for a wideband(dynojet wideband commander) and the black box for logging without the pcm or does that cost extra? Also for $699 i can use it on 2 vehicles right?

EFILive offeres the only true custom os. What that means is certain features are available that aren't available anywhere else. This is taken from EFILives website.
You can also bet that in the future they will broaden this even more.

Custom Operating Systems have been developed by EFILive to address tuning requirements that, until now, have not been possible. Custom Operating Systems are available free of charge for use by EFILive customers.
Installing a Custom Operating System requires a full-reflash of the PCM into which the Custom Operating System is to be deployed. Full reflashing is only available with the Commercial and Workshop options. However, you can tune any pre-installed EFILive Custom Operating System with the EFILive Personal version.
Speed Density mode is preferred by most tuners when tuning high performance engines with large camshafts or forced induction. The MAF is removed (or disabled) and the PCM is tuned using the MAP sensor instead. Unfortunately, when the MAF is disconnected the stock PCM has been designed to go into a semi-limp mode (operating from the low octane spark map only). EFILive’s Speed Density Custom Operating System restores the high-octane spark map and full adaptive spark control, when operating in speed density mode.
Valet Mode provides a secondary rpm and speed limit that you can program into your PCM. When you flip a hidden switch, connected directly to the PCM, the vehicle is restricted to the preset valet RPM and speed limits. (This option is not compatible with N2O Control)
Two Step Launch Control is an adaptation of the Valet Mode RPM limiter. No need for add on boxes, use the PCM to accurately control launching (This option is not compatible with N2O Control).
2 and 3 bar Forced Induction extends the fuel and spark tables to allow the PCM total control over spark and fuel all the way to full boost. EFILive retains the standard fuel and spark tables for non-boost conditions retaining factory drivability and adds new tables for boost control.
N2O Control monitors the N2O system and signals the PCM when it becomes active. Extra spark and fuel calibrations are available to modify the PCM’s spark timing and fuel delivery immediately the N2O system is activated. (This option is not compatible with Valet Mode or Two Step Launch Control)
