I don't think it would be appropraite to mention the shop's name. I'm really just hoping to find a place to help get the car set right.

I talked to the folks at Hesco and they do seem like good guys...took the time to answer all my questions. Unfortunately, they have no LS1 edit at this time.

If they remembered correctly, you have a 3:73. You might want to check your stall/gear combo. With the added power you may want to run a lower(numerically) gear to increase your traps and improve you ET. I saw your dyno graph, theres not much left in tuning as you made badass power for an A4.Just my opinion.

Since I purposely did not reference a shop name (or any guys), you might have me confused with someone else. As far as the stall/gear combo, the same shop installed the gears and suggested what converter to get. I got the converter they suggested so if I have the wrong combination then…

I’m not sure how lower gears will get back the 5 mpg I lost, or prevent higher than expected idle codes from being set, or keep me from blowing out black smoke at WOT, or filling the garage with the stench of unburned fuel, etc., but hey, you never know.

The intent of my post is to simply find a good LS1 tuner within a reasonable driving distance from Atlanta. If you know of one, feel free to recommend one or email me if you feel more comfortable with that.

Thank you.

GerryT, I know the shop who did your install. I saw your dyno graph. I will leave their name out of it. I do know you had a perfect 12.8:1 AF so I dont see your comments about running rich being very valid. Secondly if there is a problem with drivability you are more then welcome to return to that shop and they will remedy the problem. I do not believe you were told to gowith 3:73s from anyone in that shop. I know for a fact they do not suggest that high of a gear in an A4. Feel free to take this to email with me if you prefer, but I simply think you are making things more difficult on yourself than needbe. Those guys will take care of you if you have any problems.

You know I'm sitting here looking at the dyno graph and guess what, there is no A/F chart or mention of A/F anywhere on here. A nice picture of my car, but no A/F graph. I don't know what graph you saw but it was probably a phantasm.

I tried to send you email but got an error so I sent PM instead.

They have enormous experience with NASCAR, Petit LeMans engines, and so forth, and have been very helpful with my project. They also have good relationships with other tuners which often helps with problem solving. And, they're HONEST.

Hope this helps.

You are right, I called Hesco and they now have LS1 edit. They are a little busy right now, as a good shop would be. But they can get me set right in a week or two. I appreciate the update.

So am I to read this that there is only 1 shop in Atlanta that has LS1Edit.

Did you contact "nevrenuf" besides being the local Zano dealer, he knows about everyone in the Atlanta Car Business. He is a great resource as well a a LS1Edit guru himself.

I know a place on Jamerson Road and do not know if that is who you were referring to or not.

Best bet is "nevrenuf".
