EFILIVE Convince me to convert...
2 of my friends with HPTuners have already asked me to help them tune their cars, as they went speed density (MAF less) and the couldn't dial in their VE table completely and since a LC-1 wideband hooks right up to EFI LIVE and I can configure it from there, I now have 2 people that use HPTuners using my EFI LIVE instead!!!
I had to help both of my friends with dialing in there VE tables and BOTH of them luv the way their cars run now.
But upon emailing EFILive a few times to find out some info, it turns out that the 98 year/model is free. There is no license needed for 98's, they are unlimited. Which is good because the 2 guys that are going in on this with me have 98 model years. So that leaves an open lic for my 02 Z and the 2nd license for whatever.
So, yea, I'm sold. Especially onthe BB datalogging and one feature I did read about is the ability that the program has that shows what certain parameters "should" be. Not sure what it's called exactly, but it seems it works from what I'm reading.
A little more money, but alot more options and ease of use.
Carl, we'll be talking...

the install includes some sample tunes which you can open with the tune tool;
actually try this (you'll love it, it'll amaze you...):
(first in the tune tool options, select "Link scan/tune tools".)
then, open the sample log file "Camaro 0 to 60mph ASR off.efi" in the scan tool;
then, open the sample tune file "2000_Camaro_Auto.tun" in the tune tool;
then in the scan tool, setup a chart showing RPM, MAP, etc, etc and position the vertical cursor;
then in the tune tool search for B0101 (the VE table) and open it;
you will see the the cell highlighed in the VE table that corresponds to the position of the verical cursor in the scan tool.
