I'm really digging the transmission stuff
too. Not like new - better than new. It's
what I would have wanted out of a shift kit,
only it's just twiddlin' two e-*****. My
question to GM is, "Why didn't you set it
like this in the first place, dumb ***?"

Default predator dyno #

I went to the local dyno did a baseline. then installed the canned tune then advanced the timing all the way out then leaned out the fuel all the way. ended up with 13.2 on the a/f on the wideband. later logging with the predator show WOT timing advancing 41 degree's. no KR. Only saw a 9 hp and 11 tq on a mustang dyno but it really flattend the curve out and raised the hp and tq rpm. car pulls longer and harder . now the good stuff the transmission changes make it drive like a new car. With the tq higher at the top end i raised shift points to 6200. reduced the shift time (-15) and raised the line pressure (+15) The real time data is awesome. So far im very happy with my predator. sure its not edit and atap. but it doesnt cost like it. and for my situation it worked out well.
2002 trans am only 2000 miles A4 2.73. mti lid, k&n filter, magnaflow catback and now the predator
A BIG THANKS to jon at SPEED inc

Just curious, did you try adding back to the fuel enrichment? The best numbers I've seen have come from 2 degrees advance and about 3.5% lean. Depending on your car/mods you may not want to take it that far out. Your gain is pretty decent, but there may be more in it.

31 degrees would seem more like it at WOT, no? WJ.

I am going to add some fuel enrichment back. it didnt make any difference on the dyno when went from 3% to 5%. i checked the timing again today and it really shows it advancing over 41 degree's at WOT the inlet air temp was in the low thirties. im not showing any kr.

I wish that was true But the reality of it is i got stuck with the 2.73. I bought the car the end of october and there were not alot of choices . On the freeway at at 2000 rpm im going 80mph
