HELP! all bolt ons no tuning. i have a 00 ss a4.on the first phase of building my car i spent most of the money on rims bodymods\work etc. i did manage to put just about every bolt on there is. holley intake,slp long tubes,loudmouth,lid,slp mass air sensor,cold air,wires,plugs,etc. i know i could really benifit from comp. tuning. my questions are just how much am i missing? i know ams does mail tuning,iam sure it works good but i know every car is different and its best to use a dyno when doing this.is there anyone in virginia or close that can do this? THANKS! willispeed

Re: HELP! all bolt ons no tuning. You may not be "losing" anything really. But your definatly not gaining anything. If your really gonna get into tuning, I would suggest getting EFI Live and LS1 Edit. Those two things, along with your bolt-ons, will make your car sing. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: HELP! all bolt ons no tuning. A buddy of mine Is an a4 98 ls1 all bolt ons and ls1edit tuning and we have figured a few tricks with ls1edit to get his car running 91mph in the 1/8 with just bolt ons. Pretty impressive if you ask me and this car weighs in at 3550 with him in it.
Re: HELP! all bolt ons no tuning. No slicks, just nitto drags at a shitty prepped track. He ran a 8.17@91mph on a 2.3 60 foot.
No dyno either. We just go by atap and his track mph and mine. He also is 6'9 285lb's. He runs with no back seats and no spare but hes a big guy. So take what a 98 trans am weighs with no backseats and spare than add 285lbs.
If you have a flash file of your car send it to my email, and I will make some changes and you can look at it before you upload it in your car, A few little tweaks can make a big difference.

Re: HELP! all bolt ons no tuning. Just to throw in how much can be gained by LS1 Edit with just boltons. I set a personal record the other day.
We threw some boltons onto a car last week. The car actually lost power with the boltons and no tuning (because the boltons upset fueling and dropped the car into the 19 deg timing)
