The part-throttle "firmness" is software
controlled as is the "decision time". My
Predator lets me adjust these, so I'm sure
LS1-Edit has similar "*****". Big, big
difference in the shifting just from the
programmer. Shift kit might be better for
longevity and holding up to power increases,
but programming doesn't spooge ATF all over
the floor.

I don't remember the table name but LS1Edit does have a reaction time edit in it. Just keep looking. I hated how much time mine delayed too. I cut the times down by over half of the stock times and it's much quicker now.

im not sure what the table is called either. it is in the shift firmness tab and i think it may be the shift time? section. im not in front of it right now, or i could tell you for sure. but i think that is it and when u get into the table, change the shift times to .450 and i think that is good. if noone else tells u for sure, ill tell u when i get home this afternoon.

The table is called Desired Shift Time under A4 Shift Firmness tab.
FWIW, I changed it to 0 (as like the perf.) and couldn't tell any difference in shifting.

Make sure you check the trans fluid level. It may have been at the full line after the install, but air trapped in the TC and trans can make the level go down after the air moves out. This can also make the trans shift slow and cause rev limit hit before shift. Had this happen on mine. Had to add about 3/4 quart when hot, then no more rev limit hit, etc. Make sure to check fluid level per owners manual procedure when hot and add small amounts of fluid untill full.

Here's a stupid question, but did you delete TQ management yet? If not, this will make a world of difference. That can also be done with LS1edit.

My A4 had similar issues in stock form. As things loosened up I think it even got a little worse. Hitting the rev lim on the 2/3 shift was even more pronounced when running gear selector in 3rd. All I did was raise the rev limiter with edit and the results have been perfect. Track times didn't change as much as I would have liked!?!

My rev lim was set from factory at 6200. I reset it to 6400. Afterwards the highest I've seem my shifts are 6220 ish. With a looser converter you may see a bit higher than this with no other programing mods. If I were to push my revs any higher I would be preping my valve train to do so.

Hope this helps you some ... Ron
