Default Finally broke down and bought a tuner

Yes, finally decided to buy a tuner so on 4/20 I bought HPtuner since it will also be able to do dodge and ford later on. I'm not brand loyal so this helps out allot.

The only problem I have is that I emailed them because I wanted to use the product asap. But they told me it won't be shipped out til monday which will be May 1st.

I think the other company is better on their customer service and I really like their product better. But what sold me was price and multiple platform.

Reguardless, I'm really excited to get this tuner. The car needs it bad.

You really should order EFILive. I'm sure if you ask around (Black02ss) that you will find a better deal, especially because you HAVE to get a wideband if you want to tune properly.

But either way, congrats on getting some tuning software! Its really satifying to know that you will be able to tune just as well, if not better then all the "professionals" out there!

Best Regards,
Adrian

Don't worry, we'll get it shipped out ASAP to you!

When it goes out you will receive your application key and installation instructions via e-mail. You will even receive a link to the latest software download so you can play around with the software even before the interface arrives.

Thanks!

Honestly, I did like efilive better. But you have to realize that hptuner is going to multiplatform, not just gm. I don't have all gm vehicles. I think it's the better choice. Besides, anyone who owns hptuner seems to be very happy and those who own efilive seem to be happy. I personally find that efilives product is a little ahead but really, they are both complete products.

Like I said, what sold me was the multiple platform idea. So you can do dodge or ford later on. I think this is brilliant on hptuner's part.

I know you will. I'm just impatient. I got the email from you about the shipping.

Hopefully that link to download will come soon.

woot, that's not bad. The tune is pretty basic. Hmmm, now to decide to grab it or not.

Anyone that has tuned a car will tell you that trying to tune a car without a wideband is like taking your car apart and putting it back together without a tq. wrench. Sure you can do it, but it won't be done right. That is why all the packages I sell include a wideband.

interesting. Can you use the wideband without a dyno? I assume you could but it doesn't make sense tuning it without a dyno either.

I don't use a torque wrench. I haven't broking anything yet, lol. But than again, nothing I've worked on was major, hehe.

I will probably end up buying it. Just wanted to see how this thing works.

A wideband is imperative to ensure that the car is runing at the correct air fuel mixture. You are better off IMO and others as well that using a wideband on the street is better for the most part then taking the car to a dyno.

makes sense. I just did some research on it. Basically, tune it by driving it.

I'm glad to see you didn't toss your money on a "professional tune". Owning your own tuning package is one of the best investments you can make into your hot rod.

Pick up a WB and you'll be on your way to sweet driving ride.
