Hats off to HPTuners. My 99 SS just got easier to tune with the Real Time setup. The big cam I am after should be no problem now.

I am really pleased, just like Frcefed98, that my 98 turbo car will also be able to use the real time tuning in time. I can wait for the nessacary updates. Time to get to work and get the 98 Turbo Z together.

This is a significant HPT moment, and I'm not going to be the one to ruin it.

I'm happy for you guys (HPT customers). HPT has just released a lot of features you have been wanting for years, that have otherwise been avialable thru various competitors for some time. At the same time, HPT is only asking a nominal fee on top of what you have invested already (some of you have already paid this, others still need to).

Once again, congrats.

Then apparently this would be a great time for you to stop posting in their thread since "this doesnt involve" efilive.

What gets me is a certain individual is trying to tell HPT customers that real time tuning using the factory PCM with no hardware modifications is nothing more than a novel idea.

Sour grapes man, sour grapes...

im SURE you must be refering to the Promanator... the real time tuning tool that came out years before craig moates got into the GM PCM world and made a similar device to replace the entire PCM to enable real time tuning.
since you know.... things that came out after that costed ALOT more.... understandably though, since he had to design and built an entire PCM...

Yeah you right.

RTT is a novel idea. Using the factory PCM for RTT is innovative. Innovative solution to a novel idea.

Edit:
Sorry, back to just a novel all together. Appearantly RTT utilizing PCM ram has been done before too. Still an exceptional feat on your part, and I like the idea, just not innovate.

I am truely impressed with your accomplishments, extend a genuine congratulations, and am very happy for your customers.

In fact, I was. RTT has been a round a while. The only real innovation here (as a consumer not giving a **** how it works) is price reductions.

To clarify, a few people are e-mailing.

You do NOT need an MPVI interface to use RTT. RTT is an addition to our VCM Enhancements, NOT the interfaces.
