Yea, thats a false rumor. My TB is completly stock and it hits 100% every time I bury the pedal.

if it didnt hit 100% that would be completely pointless... 100% is a relative number, you can tune it to read 100% if your throttle is only open 30 degrees. basically its tuned so minimum throttle position is 0% and maximum is 100%.. whatever those positions may actually be is not determined by TPS readings.

on another note.. grind away the stops so you can turn the TB farther than 90 degrees... if 90 is good, 180 is better!!! double the airflow!!! (kidding of course..)

Just because the TPS shows 100% doesn't mean the blade is open 90 degrees. It won't be without grinding the stop.

Well it is basicaly that the blade is perpendicular to the circle axis of the TB. without bump stop mod the blade is not at 90* but like 87* or so +/-

Manufacturing slop means everybody's TB is going
to differ. You want to get full mechanical open by
a mechanical measurement and then just be sure
that the voltage is still within acceptable range.
