Is it just time for a new sensor? Or did the LC-1 actually take a crap?
Bill
Yeah I think the only reason the LC-1 gets a bad rep is because you have to wire it up yourself, and too many people get in a hurry or just plain are stupid and end up frying their unit and crying "I got ripped!"
When in fact they should have read the damn manual and got some input before even jacking the car up...The LM-1 is idiot-proof in that you just put the wideband in, hook up the clamps to the battery, and hook up the output to whatever tuning software you have.....how can you screw that up?
The LC-1 on the other hand all it takes is crossing a couple wires on an accident and you just cost yourself a bunch of time and another $200

But that goes with anything that you have to wire it up yourself...you cant touch positive to negative, duh!
My point is: it wont break unless you break it yourself or it is just plain too old, which so far hasnt been an issue, either AFAIK..
I'd say save yourself the money and get the LC-1 whether or not you want it to be portable...I went to RadioShack and spent like $30 and mine is portable, durable, and functional.
Although, if you have the money...I would get the LM-1 just to save the trouble if you arent into wiring stuff....it's fun for me..... "Yay! wires!"
I'm running 100 shot nitrous on a 2000 C5....am waiting for my new rebuilt tranny from T56 rebuilds and figure now is a good time to get a WB installed...looking for a 200-300 dollar WB and am pretty much set on these two. Am leaning a little more to the AEM one but am open for ideas...you guys helped a lot in deciding on my nitrous set up so am eagerly awaiting your info on these two WB's
thanks
Jack

and I think its the best hands down.
