Just a FYI the Dynojet is not $529.95 ... I think I paid $370.00 shipped for mine and I think its the best hands down.

The FAST is fairly new so, i don't there are many out there yet. I have the AEM installed in my car at the moment but just took delivery of the FAST unit yesterday. Man is it NICE!!! I can't wait to install it. Only issue I see is figuring out a place (and method) to mount the computer....

I have been using my LC-1 for 1 1/2+ years and it stays on my car all the time on my DD. It has just went down.

I use the LM-1 because I also use it on my race bike, plus I did not want anything else mounted inside the car. It's a sleeper with 3 gauges mounted inside the glovebox. Also, I only use it occasionally, so it did not make sense to me to be constantly monitoring.

Bill,

Is it just time for a new sensor? Or did the LC-1 actually take a crap?

The sensor was OK. The controller went bad. Replaced the controller and everything is working fine now.

All I know is this LC-1 is making me want a Prozac. Been messin' for 2 days now. I'm going to reserve judgement on Innovate and just assume its something stupid that I'm overlooking. The instructions need to be more clear is all I can say at this point. If I would have known then what I know now I probably would have spent the extra money and gotten the LM-1.

I have both (LM-1 and LC-1) the setup of the LM-1 is definately easier. Once you get the hang of it, the LC-1 isn't too bad, just a lot of thin wires to keep track of.

[QUOTE=SmokingWS6]I think most LC-1 issues are due to installation errors. I've only seen one that was a failure out of the box, it would either read 10 to 1 or 20 to 1, replaced the sensor and it worked fine.

Yeah I think the only reason the LC-1 gets a bad rep is because you have to wire it up yourself, and too many people get in a hurry or just plain are stupid and end up frying their unit and crying "I got ripped!" When in fact they should have read the damn manual and got some input before even jacking the car up...

The LM-1 is idiot-proof in that you just put the wideband in, hook up the clamps to the battery, and hook up the output to whatever tuning software you have.....how can you screw that up?

The LC-1 on the other hand all it takes is crossing a couple wires on an accident and you just cost yourself a bunch of time and another $200

But that goes with anything that you have to wire it up yourself...you cant touch positive to negative, duh!

My point is: it wont break unless you break it yourself or it is just plain too old, which so far hasnt been an issue, either AFAIK..

I'd say save yourself the money and get the LC-1 whether or not you want it to be portable...I went to RadioShack and spent like $30 and mine is portable, durable, and functional.

Although, if you have the money...I would get the LM-1 just to save the trouble if you arent into wiring stuff....it's fun for me..... "Yay! wires!"

What would be the choice of others between the AEM WB UEGO #30-4100 or the PLX SM-AFR

I'm running 100 shot nitrous on a 2000 C5....am waiting for my new rebuilt tranny from T56 rebuilds and figure now is a good time to get a WB installed...looking for a 200-300 dollar WB and am pretty much set on these two. Am leaning a little more to the AEM one but am open for ideas...you guys helped a lot in deciding on my nitrous set up so am eagerly awaiting your info on these two WB's

thanks
Jack

i might have to be a test dummy on the PLX... wideband for $200?? saves you $100 over the AEM and looks better IMO

Can any of these take 2 readings? Say If I wanted to put a sensor at the end of each LT replacing the narrowbands instead of adding another bung at the I?

I voted for the wideband commander only because that's what I have. I don't know about any other products.
