Default Can't get 2bar EFI Live to run more than 3 seconds.

Installed a gm 12580698 2bar. Unplugged the maf.

Downloaded a 2bar starter tune. Verified key on engine off = 94kPa.

No DTC's

Car starts and idles smoothly for 3 seconds and shuts off.

Any ideas? TIA.

Probably a dumb question. Did you set the MAF high frequency fail to 0?

After you rescaled the map scaler for the 2 bar did you check it again? Also what "starter" tune are you talking about? You might be better off using the tutorial and starting from scratch.

What kind of setup do you have?

Yep, scalar at 188. Key on = 94.

I bought a Moates RR from Jes Bubb and he kindly set up a COS5 starter tune since my original OS is 1999. I'd hate to start from scratch since the 1999 has to be hand loaded...but I might have to.

Black02SS has been very helpful also with trouble shooting suggestions.

set-up is a twin turbo 428 ci Firebird.

The last file I sent you is COS5 with the SAME values as the other tune of yours that runs. I went through and manually copied over every table/cell to the new one. This will tell me if some of your tables need to be reset due to not having a MAF. Did you get a chance to try that last tune I sent?

Shot me a email or give me a call if you want. I'll be up and we can see if we can't get this sorted.

Check the Axxx Custom values, wrong values or DEFAULT values in there can cause that. Also I had a similar problem it was due to old .cal files messing with me. Check your cal files are up to date.

I might have started with a pre beta os5 and the file wasnt set up internally to run on the roadrunner. ? I would just try transfering the Cal changes over to the latest os release for the 05.

The safety checksum is not dissabled in it so the computer will shut my cal down. Just manually transfer over all the tables that are different one by one to the file that works..

Found something strange in the main VE table Jes.

When I do a compare to another tune, sometimes a different set of numbers appear in the table.....strange...almost like a ghost overwrite...
