Maybe...

All my XP systems (3 total) I have it installed on only require 1.1
I haven't used 98 for a *long* time.

There are differences in the win98 .dll packages that require you to run 2.0. Secondly .Net isn't really a language like VB6 or C or C++. Its a scripting program based on a language like Java. Its really not a good platform from which to luanch a binary editor that requires robust and solid behavoir.

Well that explains it. Win 98 requires 2.0. People with newer OS's dont. Maybe you should clarify that before ranting about it? "Hey guys, if your on an 8 year old OS, you have to use .NET 2.0 which has steeper hardware requirements"

And I am intimately familiar with what .NET is and isn't since I am a professional programmer. Its not a scripting language in any way shape or form. It does have an intermediary, (MSIL). This does not necessarily make it any less reliable.

If you don't like the product, feel free to say so, but please don't back up those opinions with half truths and incorrect assumptions, thanks.

.net is a scripiting language similar to Java. In fact its inception was to fight java and create a multiplatform enviroment to compete against Java and Linux. Good to know that proffesional programmers there days are so up to date. What languages do you program in ?

I'm not going to get into an internet argument with you on this.
You've made your opinion on the product clear, and others have done the same.
Nevertheless, your knowledge of programming languages is quite incomplete.

.NET It is NOT a scripting language. Your confusing scripting with platform, or JIT (just in time) intermediate languages.

For whats its worth, I have in the past and do program in Java, PHP, .NET (C# mostly) and x86 assembly.

I voted yes! It makes a lot of sense! There are just as many LT1 guys out there who build there cars and want to tune them, them selves as there are us LS1 owners! I used to be one!

Keep the responses coming on this one guys. I think HP Tuners will realize there is a much broader applicable market for this product than they may realize.

I just want a 2 or 3 bar SD tune and that may be the only way to get it.
