Default spark table for sts car..

i have a stock internal trans am, and i'm going to be running 5psi. I was wondering if anyone has any tables that they have used or what timings they have used where. obviously part throttle timings can be left alone correct? as it won't be under boost.

and WOT should be around 15 degrees around 4-5krpm?

what about 2krpm to 4krpm?

i would just play with it, as i did while it was N/A to find the timing it seemed to like.... but boost and compression and detonation just don't get along on these stock pistons.....

Sounds like a winner to me. I blew my engine a year and a half ago with too much timing in the mid-range, on its first wot run. About to put it on the road again, and a cross-check on the timing would be great.

Anyone have a full .bin file for a stock internal STS car on low boost 6-8 PSI. Going to be tuning an 02 M6, and I have never tuned a boosted car before.

I'm not going to be posting this table, as certain people do not want me to post it. if you know about detonation and knock retard then you know on a stock internal LS1... run about 12-14 degrees WOT and go from there. I hate to say that I'm not going to post it but I'm not, don't mean to make anyone angry either. If anyone wants help feel free to PM Frost or me and ask and we will help. People made me learn and I'm apparently doing a decent job at it. Also remember you will/may not make peak power at close to detonation or KR.. a few degrees less will do fine. Use your SCANTOOL to your advantage.

and like I said, I will be glad to help anyone who PM's me, I always have as I'm sure others also do.

My problem was in thinking WOT meant just the bottom 3-5 rows of the table, when it was really the lower half of the table...

Mine is in a bung about 6 inches past the turbo, it NEEDS to be after the turbo. And on a side note, there was almost no difference in reading from when I had cats as to when I took them off

FWIW I recently spent time on the dyno and my street tune with no KR was quite a few degrees away from optimal. And it was TOO ADVANCED, meaning I had to retard spark for best torque, not advance it.
You really cant tune spark on the street other than avoiding KR. If you want max power you will need to visit a steady state dyno.

i know about the steady state dyno's ; but where in the hell are there ones around the North Carolina area? lol. I assume that you are talking about the Eddie current dyno, where you can hold it at a given rpm and full load on the car but you can choose the rpm to run at?
