Default Got HPP3 for free

The question is...should i use it? I dont need to do any tranny stuff since its an m6, dont need to mess with the speed or rev limiter, dont need to recalibrate the speedo or odometer, or mess with the fans. Would i gain anything if i used the power tune?

probably a minimal amount especially since your slightly modded, they are usually setup for stock vehicles...might be able to get $150 or so for the HPP & then either buy a real tuning suite or get tuned by a reputable tuner.

Agreed. The HPP3 "Power tuning" rarely results in power gains and in my case actually lost power. Sell it and invest in EFIlive or HPtuners.

I loved my hypertech...it really made me faster and I would increase the rev limiter if I were you...it helps!

On its downside, it tends to lead to knock retard sensors kicking in when it's really hot outside or if the engine is really hot.

Nothing to brag about...but i was running 8.9s in the 1.8th while "stock" Vettes, GTOs and Firehawks where running 9.1 - 9.4s. That was with the hypertech, no cats, lid/filter and ported TB (mostly stock). I did get rid of it though and upgraded to HPT.

My dad's co-worker's wife has an 02 SS and it came with the car and now they're selling it, so he just decided to give the programmer to me as a nice gesture. I think I may end up giving it back though.
