Default Tuning for manual transmission in 00-04 truck ?

If you install a manual tranny into a chevy truck with a 5.3l engine, can you get the computer reprogrammed so that it runs smoothly and no CEL's come on due to the tranny swap ?

Yes, absolutely! You just need a manual OS calibration. Or turn off all the auto codes.

Anywhere from $75 to $150 ... depending on who is local to you and how they go about doing it. Best bet is to ask locally or check out the mail order tuners of this site.

The trans you put in also needs to have a Speed sensor to input to the PCM.

So I can mail my ECU to the tuner... no need to bring the truck to the tuner...?
