Default MAF VS Speed Density Tune!

I am going to have my ecu (98 ecu) tuned in a couple months. I was wondering how hard is it for the tuner to convert it to Speed Density? What are the benifits of a Speed Densitiy tune? Should I get this? what do you guys think?

I am fine with keeping my MAF. I though I would inquire about the Speed Density tune.

I'd do a lot of reading if I were you. If you aren't comfortable with the concept of SD by the time you make the decision, just go with a MAF tune. Done properly, they should make the exact same power (as long as the MAF sensor isn't choking the airflow to the engine).

SD is hype unless your car really needs it (usually higher psi turbo apps).

I read a little in that link that was provided. Thats what I was thinking. I do not think I need it in my 400rwhp car.

I tuned my 98 Trans Am in Speed Density mode and I'm a first time tuner. It's actually very easy with EFILive and a wideband O2 sensor, just do some reading beforehand.

people just thinks it sound fast, I mean Speed Density just sounds like a cool mod to spout out at the local car meets.
