Default Changed injector table and now minor probs

Earlier this week I had the wrong numbers in my injector flow table for my 30 svo's. The first number was like 36.xxx and then up from thier. The new numbers start with 34.xxx and ascend from their.

I am now seeing hotter temps from the motor (200-220 F) at idel and around 195ish during driving. I have also been logging a little knock in various Rpm cells ( 1 or 2 degrees).

I am thinking that the since I have dialed in a lower g/sec for the injectors the pcm has to relearn the IPW's all over. The IPWs are still pulsing the same amount of time as when I had the larger numbers in the flow table, so from that I think I may be a little lean and that is what is causing the knock and higher temps.

What do you guys think?

if you did any ve tuning off those previous values then yes, even if not its apt to make it run leaner. Did you try reseteing your trims?

im fairly new to tuning myself, but i would imagine with new values you would have to redo your ve? I would try reseting your trims and see what its like, if its the same i'd mess around with ve

There's one problem here. You said your original numbers were in the 36+lbs/hr range and you changed them to 34+lbs/hr. If you reduced the IFR table, then the amount of fuel delivered has increased...because the computer now thinks the injectors are smaller and need to remain open slightly longer to deliver the same amount of fuel. You still need to re-dial in your VE for the new numbers if that's the route you're taking because you should be rich. The KR and higher temps you are seeing are most likely NOT a result of your recent IFR change...

That sounds true, because I noticed that at after letting it idel after a cold start, I pulled off and black (gas) smoke was everywhere.
SS when you say re dial your VE, do you mean start over or just continue re logging ltfts and stft copy paste etc.....?
And thanks for the help man.

34/36=.94444

That represents a ~5.55556% increase in fuel across the board. I'd highlight your VE table as it stands now (the parts you changed), reduce it ~3% and retune it from there. If you used LTFT's/STFT's the first time around, then it should be the same thing this time around too. You just won't be able to do WOT until you get a WBO2.

The other option is, if the car is close to stock (bolt-ons only - no H/C), then start with a stock VE and go from there.
