Help to identify an 85mm MAF
Need help in identifying this MAF or more specific the modification that has been made to it. It is a Delphi 25168491 but it has a resistor soldered to it. It also has a 3-wire to 5-wire harness adapter. The screen has been removed. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

SLP does not remove the screen. This might be a Pace "Z06
calibrated for F-bodies" or some such.

I called Pace and described the resistor and was informed that they do not install a resistor on their calibrated mafs.
Can anybody with a SLP maf verify the use of a resistor like this one?

SLP used a 2.7K on the late-years version. I had one, took
it off, substituted various other values etc. Mine had the
2.7K (red/violet/red) 1/8W resistor with a heat-shrink jacket.
People who have Pace MAFs have told me they do have
(or did at the time) a resistor in the same place. I have
to doubt that Pace, SLP or anybody else changes the
potted electronics inside a Delphi MAF.

I agree with Jimmy, All of the gm mafs for our cars are just a stock one from another car with that resister to make it so you can run it even though it has a different transfer function than the stock table inside the pcm. If they didnt put in that resister to trick the Computer, then your car would be very wrong in its fueling.
