Default HP Tuners: to throw off the speedometer

i'm trying to show that my speedo is off. just for a few days. i have a GPS to verify the speed.

weird thing is that now, doing 50 mph in OD, the RPM was only ~1100. i remember it being higher.

A4 with 245-50-16 tires and 2.81 gears??? never heard of 2.81 gears but that's what it comes out to with the stock value being 9.11

try putting a lower gear on the speedo section put 28 tire and 2.00 gear then commit. if that makes it go higher mph put a big gear like 4.50 then c what it does. but that should be enough to make it be off.

yea that works. HPT says to divide tire height by gear ratio. i got the speedo to read 15 mph less than actual speed. this may be too much and not believable so i'm going to lower it a little.

yea you discovered my greatest scheme ever....wow, a '98 Trans Am....a redneck Ferrari....so damn rare and sought after by celebrities and **** all over the place that i'm going to plan this out and throw off my speedo for the next 5 years in order to drop 500 miles a year or so .....so that i can sell it to some rich sucker for a million dollars.

gee, and wouldn't a big time hustler such as i be able to figure out how to make another screen name (to sell it) just in case some smart and savvy LS1-Techer such as yourself should somehow discover my super duper plan?

#1. As stated this is fraud since it's tampering with the mileage
#2. Thread served it's purpose and is becoming a bitch fest now
#3. Unlikely that this will help the case of a speeding ticket as the judge is not going to want to see your car moving while being paced. Plus if the judge wanted to be an *** he may be able to have the car history changed to "mileage unverified" or something

Regardless... thread is done
