How hard to tune the hotcam?

How hard to tune the hotcam? I want to get the hotcam kit for my car, but I am wondering how hard it would be to tune it for drivability.
Car is an a4, small stall w/3.73 gears.
Anyone with an idea on this?

To be honest.... I never could get the tune right on my Hotcam. I loved the cam. It has a great midrange power but I could never get the drivability the way I wanted it. I finally took it out of the car. The idle on the hotcam is unbelieveable. Hopefully you are a better tuner than I am, otherwise I think you are going to have a hard time tuning it.
ive specifically been warned the hotcam is garbage to tune and drive by someone who ran it in an a4 trans am with 3.73s. May be hot air, but why not go with an aftermarket cam from one of the sponsors?

Went with the hotcam mainly for two reasons.
1. price was 400.00 for the cam and springs, and that included shipping.
2. The cam is a small lift cam, so uses ls-6 springs. Should be as worry free as stock.

I was using LS1edit to tune. I had it running pretty well but the idle characteristics were awful. It would surge,buck, and die all the time. It also wouldn't start properly. I tried everything I could think of. If you are using a proven tuner they can probably figure it out.

The hot cam sounded cool at idle for being so small. With a turbo it didn't work worth a crap, but NA I was running 12.30's @ 112 all day long. The power over stock was unbelievable, with a mail order tune (PCM4Less). Only problem I had was going WOT and letting off it would surge like a blower car, but I thought it was pretty cool, didn't affect driveability.
