Default Climate changes and SD

So I started tuning my VE tables late summer/ early fall. I still have a little to go but now it has gotten colder. It is in the 40s while when I was tuning the VE tables it was around the 70s. Does the temperature change adversely effect any VE tuning that I did in the hotter weather?

Also unrelated to the temperature when I first turn the car on I'm in open loop SD. The car idles like crap for about two minutes. I have to give it gas to keeps the rpms at 1000 until they level out. if not the car idles way too low like if it was going to shut off and sometimes it does. i have my idle tables set at 900 but the car wont idle at that in open loop SD. any ideas?

I think it's Running Air Flow In Gear - RAFIG. That's what it is in EFILive.

IAC target RPM vs COOLANT TEMP in P/N
IAC target RPM vs COOLANT TEMP in GEAR
IAC PARK POSITION VS COOLANT TEMP
Those are your idle control tables. If you need to add fuel, as in an open loop lean condition, as in it falls on its face when you try and drive it cold:
OPEN LOOP AFR vs COOLANT vs MAP
Good luck. Hope this helps.

my IACs are set at 900

I'll give my open loop afr vs coolant vs map table a look. i can have it fully warmed up and drive it around. turn it off for like two minutes turn it back on and it has that same problem. i'll work on it to see what happens.

Your idle rpm vs coolant in gear and pn should be higher when its colder, and taper down as the coolant temp increases.
If you have issues on restart after its warm, you amy not be as close as you think on your SD tune. Thats sounds to me like an open loop mixture (A/F) problem, and if its there when its warm, its VE based. Once you have your VE dialed in, it should start up and idle nicely when its warm.
BTW, you can email me your tune and I'll look at it for you if you like.

problem solved. i didn't adjust the VE tables for 800rpm and lower for Kpa of 50 and lower. I didn't have any data for those points so i figured the car didn't need to have them tuned. Wrong! Ed helped me out and its starting up well. Thanks.
