Good Morning!

Can anyone help me with recommendations for a cam install and Quality Tuning within a resonable distance (4 hours or so) from the Memphis, TN area?

I am very picky about the work done on my car and simply want to make sure it is done correctly by a very experienced shop.

Please let me know your thoughts and personal experiences.

that might be a better place to ask i dont really now of any shops in TN but there are one or two sponsors over there that i might ask.

or if slowtrp gets on here he may know of some

Bowling Green is not too far. Who did it and do they perform installs as well?

 

not sure if they do installs they are called horsepowerhouse they did slowtrps tune as well i havent been there yet i did a mail order from them and when i get my engine installed im going up there for the final tweek. if they have a dyno i would guess that they do installs aswell, but hop over on mtfba everyonce and a while good guys over there that are in the area

 

If you wanted to drive to chattanooga I could do the install, but im still learning how to tune.

 

Try www.wtfba.org that is the local website for f-bodies. Dynospeed and extreme both do tunes but they are expensive. In January spectacle solutions will be open and they should offer better prices on tunes and installs and all things f-body.

I am aware of Dynospeed and Xtreme, but I just don't feel 100% comfortable with either of them......maybe I am wrong.

 

Dude, go to extreme and talk to them. They are super friendly and they will show you around and show you what they have done. I went there today to ask a question and spoke with a guy named Hunter, and we ended up talking for like over an hour..plus we walked through the entire shop and I got to see work they have done..ACR Viper, Ultima w/LS7 kit car fabbed from ground up, a couple Vettes, and I was thoroughly impressed. I had heard of them before today, but if I took my car anywhere, I would take it there and feel safe about them doing a good job at a reasonable rate. I asked about a cam install and they gave me a better price than Bridge Racing in Southaven...about $300 better price. Go talk to them and tell em' what you want. They enjoy their jobs and wanna help.

 

Well you can fork out that kind of cash if you want, but I am in Little Rock and have done about 45 cars in the last year. I have done several members cars from this site.

 

Nope your VERY right....Among other things....They left 3 bolts out of my bell housing while putting in my Tex, bragged about it only taking 2 1/2 hours....Maybe they should have taken there time....
