how does a PCM transfer to SD tune by itself?????????
if everything has been the same for 3 years how does that happen?
427 LS6 (43,000 miles) and does burn a lot of oil. has had the same tune that has been perfect for 3 years. the maf can be removed or unplugged and the engine runs perfect. the tps can also be unplugged and its just fine. saw this happen 2 days ago and was amazed when my friend did this and went for a normal ride.
what would cause the pcm to do that? wuz-up?????

you should still throw MAF codes though if its unplugged. the car would continue to run ok, but theres 2-3 MAF related codes that should show up pretty quickly. perhaps its been in SD mode the whole time.

If your tuner tuned it correctly and dialed your VE table in perfect, then calibrated the MAF in perfectly, you would notice little to no difference in how it runs with or without the maf plugged in. Basically, if it still runs great without the MAF, thats a good sign that your tuner did a good job for you
