SScam68 the wideband and brick is the same used on all the gen7+ systems ...the brick plugs in- line to standard hego weather pack and then onto a 5 wire uego 02..no wiring, plug and play and basically selecting type 1 or type 2 uego which ever you are using in the systems controls screen...

Do the we keep ABS, TCS, A/C control etc with this system or does the stock PCM need to be piggybacked to keep these functions?

Thanks, HPZ but as John stated I'm not a sponsor here and thats why I never relished that from the beginning ,however I will post feedback on this system since one arrived today...First off it is truly a plug and play system 12 volt power supply and few grounds ,rest is plug and go.. harness is clearly tagged for easy installation ,shouldnt be any second guessing what plugs to what.. all sensors are included that are needed IAT,MAT,coolant temp, hego 02 etc. I should have a test car up can running by later part of this coming week..I'll post feedback within that time ..As is stands now I feel confident the outcome will be good ,tuning this system is what I'm use to and nothing has changed in that aspect...All and All "kudo's" Accel you've made a bang up system here, easy to install and effective .this sytem is a work of art compared to the fast
... the possibilities are endless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can this system fine tune the fuel and spark, or is more of a add X% fuel accros the board, or add x* of timing everywhere?
Do this use the konck sensors?
Can a timing retarder be hooked up to it, like the one from Jacobs Nitorus mastermind? or other Nitrous ignition retards?

Cat this system is capable of controlling 3 stages of n20 with timing retard for each stage wet or dry ( dry enrichment is done through the injectors not by elevated fuel pressure)with wideband a target a/f can be plugged in for each stage ex. 12.1 a/f if that particular stage goes leaner than the a/f it will shut the n20 off..It has dual mapping capability as well..the 3 stage or single stage harness ranges between $100-$150 depending on which harness...This is a thorough setup in n20 mode such things as fuel pressure, bottle pressure,# of orifice's and size it uses to calculate the amount of fuel needed even for a dry setup...Its armed through the dfi per tps%, rpm, time delay once parameters are met(all stages) flip of "a" switch once programming has been done ..the DFI does the rest..
the spark timing and fueling you have 100% control ..just to give how detailed this system is with the pro software you can even sensitize or desensitize every sensor it reads IAT,hego/uego,MAT etc...
the aspects mentioned is only a drop in the bucket to all the controls at the users finger tips...

Joe is correct,This system truely is awesome.
I ran the antiquated 8 bit DFI on my 3900lb 10 Sec LT1 with 2 stages of juice and NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS.
Once its tuned your ready for combat...
Plus, with stock pistons can creep up on the N20 capabilities of this system.
U can hit a shot (Wet or Dry )and feel confidant the systems there protecting u to a degree.
Surely a stock piston doesnt take kindly to KR or detonation but once u tune this setup via a WB/Dyno you'll be MUCH SAFER than these guys with the timing retard boxes,on/off switches, wot switches etc...
I'm not saying you'll be able to can hit a higher HP shot but I know you'll be able to hit a MUCH SAFER SHOT then whats being done today with just edit and all the gadgets.
Thats why I want one and hopefully I'll have one soon.

What sort of "canned-tuning" will be available? Gotta have something to start with, right? Sounds like a great system. Can't wait. But it also sounds like a buttload of front end work to get the tuning correct. That is, it sounds quite complicated.

GEN7DFI, can you kinda give a brief run down of use? Like after the pulg in, you...
Turn key and leave in run position, water the lawn, click heels 3 times etc...then ???

Actually you click your heels 4 times while praying to the gods of LS1. If you go to www.mrgasket.com and follow the accel DFI links and download the calmap software you can look at the actual software, and for the turbo guys control B is the boost builder application.

Damn, reading about this makes me want to do a turbo setup or something nuts just so I have a reason to use the new DFI
It sounds cool as hell.

is it possible to use the system by itself to run a LS1 car. like i want to build a purpose built strip car using a V-6 body with a LS1 based motor and TH350 tranny. will i have to have a factory wiring harness and PCM or can i just use the DFI for the engine management?
i think that made sense...

Wickedred you can use this to run the engine buy itself, it will work perfect. you would be able to run the fuel and spark from it and have full control
