hp tune rev limiter not consistant

We have the rev limiter at 6800 sometimes it comes on 5800 6000 6600 we just do not know how to stop this.

Did you change it right below the "RPM limits" under engine > fuel control > Fuel cutoff under "P/N Cutoff" and thats it? Below that there is a Cutoff RPM vs. Gear table that has a limiter table in that as well. If you haven't looked at it give it a look.

Also, make sure you are not running into the cold engine limiter.

I have never seen this behavior when properly setup, post the tune and log of incidence so that we can have a look.

Are you logging these rev limit points , or are you going off the factory tach?

Yeah, the factory tach is nothing to compare against; especially in the lower gears.

I had a customer keep tagging a 7K limiter last friday night at the track for his 1-2 shift while his tach read 58-6000...
