I personally use Mobil1 10w30, but if you look down a few threads you will see there is a multiple page thread on oil, everyone likes something different.

I wouldnt use RP it gave me lifter tick and now it wont go away! I got better when I switched to GC 10-40

IMHO synthetic isnt worth it I payed 75 bucks for a RP oil change compared to 29 for GC.

Some advice,if you don't know what kind of the oil the motor has seen during it's life, use CONVENTIONAL.Synthetic likes to seep through older gaskets and seals by cleaning out sludge & deposits that form around them.I learned that the hard way and now I got small oil drips at pretty much every gasket and my intake is leaking onto my optispark!!!
