In addition to the umbrella, we might need our long pants too....high for Indiana on Saturday and Sunday is only going to be in the low 70's with 50 degree nights.

I'll be down Saturday afternoon around 2 or 2:30, if there's no rain I'll bring the TA, if there is rain I'll be driving my dd and just looking around. Should be a good time either way! This is my first year going so I'm pretty excited!

Long sleeves and shorts is a fashion no no!

Enjoy the Marriott pool all to yourself if it gets that cool in the evening

LOL i honestly don't wear long sleeves very often if ever. only would probably be if its raining like i said. maybe it's because ive lived in FL but ive seen people wear long sleeves and shorts many times. in fact i just found this old pic of me in january 05 (good god has it been that long?) and thats the same shirt i was talking about.

not only that but i've never really been one to care about fashion anyway

The forecast is calling for rain friday evening/night and saturday in the early morning. thsi might be the best time for rain if there has to be some. that way we can get the cars washed saturday morning after the rain and they will be all nice and clean for the show saturday, tipp city saturday night and then the judging sunday. I'm pretty sure my car is gonna get dirty on the drive out there as its been raining overnight here and the roads are wet and i'm leaving in about 2 hours. At least i put a good coat of wax on my car on tuesday so hopefully i can get there and run it through a quick car wash and be good to go. There is a car wash at 444 Patterson road which is approx 1 mi from the marriott according to google. They aren't open sundays but hopefully it won't rain saturday afternoon/sunday

http://oakwoodautowash.com/default.aspx

Looks like they have a "rain check" deal where if it rains by midnight the day you wash the car they will rewash it the next day free. hmm, i might have to get my car washed when i get there friday if its not raining and get one of those cards and take it back saturday, lol

Beautiful weather on Saturday & Sunday. I was so relaxed on Saturday that I didn't even bother going to the Tipp City Cruise-In.....I went back to the hotel and crashed.

Sunday I got bored & left around 1 o'clock. I didn't even wait for my class to be judged. I'm not a Q-Tip cleaner, so I never go to win. The only car I would have definitely beat would have been the guy that never opened his hood, put his windows down or popped the rear hatch. Everyone else had me out-cleaned

Scott--I can not figure out why someone would do that.

The car between us (GoldRush) won the class. The navy blue car with the chrome lid won 2nd and I limped in 3rd.

Not open up their car--that is not the first time someone has done that--an expensive parking lot space.

That guy has signed on as Gold-Member and has a link to picks of his car--a lot of guys did not like some of the things he did.

We were there again this year. Brought the ole '79.

Washed her at home Thursday night in the rain. Neighbors laughed, but they know me.
Had 5+ hours of rain on the way down Friday. Sorta cleaned her Saturday morning at the wash bay in the hotel.

Was a bit put off at first by the hotel and their pricing on everything. In the end, the accomandations were pretty ok. Parking lot was well lit. Security too, if you call Barney security.

Tipp City was it's usual Blast!

Can't wait for next year.

You are right about the hotel. No regular resturant menu on the weekends. the buffet was limited. no free internet in the rooms. I did like the 100# dumbells in the workout room.
