Broke, so paint will have to wait, but still better than the stock one.
Out of curiosity, where did you get your hood from? I want one like that for my 94.

It's a suncoast hood, but I lucked out and got it locally.

Started my search for a manual bird again after selling my '79. The last two times I've gone car shopping I was looking for a manual bird and eventually gave up, maybe third time's a charm...

How close does it have to be? There's a few 6 speed 4th gen birds for sale around my area (Boise)

I've thought about getting another '77-81 if it were a 4-speed, but figured for what a decent one would cost I could get a really nice fourth gen.

Close enough to get there and back in a day or two, 2,000 miles in one direction is kind of extreme for a car that probably isn't exactly what I want. The only way I'd do that is if it were bright purple metallic with the LS1 and T56.

I got tired of looking at the faded bird logo on the rear filler panel so I made a replacement decal. It ended up being a little smaller than the original but it's not that noticeable.

Nice car! I don't think I've ever seen a gold one in person around here. It must be one of the more rare colors?

Maybe a dumb question, but what is a hose mod???

6-speed, now I'm jelly. I'll find one eventually, hopefully.
