That gold color looks sweet but GM did a terrible job on the pewter, silver, and gold cars color matching the front bumper cover to the rest of the panels especially the fenders. That's a drastic color difference.

I'm getting ready to do a full detail on the car and decided to have a little fun. A friend took the picture before I pulled her back into the shop. I thought it was a pretty cool shot.

Wow, you've got the early design ram air hood on that thing (where the scoops meet the hood, it is rounded before the end of the hood). Don't see those very often.

.

It's an original early style Firehawk hood. My other Formula has a WS6 hood on it.

It's not even noticeable in person in direct light but you're correct on that.

If I wanted to convert one I'd have kept my '79 and converted it, that or I'd get a Lexus SC400 and convert it. That being said I'm actually going to look at a 6-speed Formula in eleven hours, gah guess I should try to sleep some...

Clay barring is good to do before polishing and waxing as it removes all the tiny contaminants that get stuck to the paint.

Thanks! I was thinking about changing the muffler out for a Spintech and doing Strano springs with Koni struts and shocks, but I really haven't decided yet. As far as the drivetrain goes there's more than enough power for me to drive like an old man.

Went through the glove box and found the original owners manual and roadside assistance pamphlet along with the build sheet and original window sticker. The more I dig into the car the more I feel even better about it.
