Deleted my dead factory power steering cooler POS. It is replaced by a Hayden 402 fluid cooler. I mounted it under the front end just like this (not mine, but I copied it almost exactly).

Also bled the power steering system. It took an entire gallon of PSF and seven (7!?!) bleed/flush cycles to get the fluid to come out clear again. It started out this brown/copper-ish color and smelled horrible, but was almost perfectly clear when I bled it the final time.

After the flush, the pump worked and was quiet as a church mouse, so I guess I dodged a bullet and the pump survived. I installed the 1-pc. upper hose, and voila! No more chance of ever having brown power steering fluid in my pump again. The steering actually feels much better, too. The bad fluid and the contaminated pump/rack must have been having a big effect on how the steering system responded.

Next up: brake fluid flushing sometime in the next few days.

Some custom vinyl birds for the pillars, I'm not sure how I feel, due to paint degredation I couldn't quite go with the OEM ones, I had these cut, and if I don't like them they come off and I figure out what to do!

Over the weekend I jacked up the rear end of the CETA and tightened up some suspension components that were loose causing some nasty sounds.
The sounds are all gone now. Took a couple pics on the test ride.

Also vacuumed the interior and put on my front end mask getting my car ready for the roadtrip to Dallas on Friday.

What does it say on your front licence plate cover?

Drove it. Seeing how this car is becoming my 'DD I'm starting to worry about insurance. AAA will total this thing out if a bird so much as craps on it. Going to call Hagerty tomorrow to see if I can insure it with my Charger...

Yesterday on my '98 Formula, I finally completed installing Dynamat, installed a new headliner and a center vent. I also washed the carpet. Today, I hope to re-install the carpet and put in the side interior panels. Depending how much I get done, maybe install the console too.

myk, what year is your Charger? I have a '70 Charger.

Got a dyno tune and smoked the stock clutch. I've learned LS6 clutches don't like H/C.

'69. I wanted a '68 but I wasn't patient enough for the PERFECT '68 that popped up 3 weeks after I bought my '69...

Had my SFCs installed a couple days ago. Thanks to Speed Inc. for fitting me into their very busy schedule! I know i could have had that done anywhere but it was cheaper and more convenient to order them from Speed Inc and just have them do the install. Plus, i love their parking lot.

I repainted my Bird's dash pad. I had painted it gloss a long time ago and the glare pissed me off. I painted it with Krylon Semi-Flat. I love the smooth look as opposed to the factory texture. I've still got another little detail for it but that'll wait.
I also repaired my broken driver side seatbelt guide...again. I even drilled small holes for the JBWeld to grab onto. If I have to do it again I swear I'm gonna tongue and groove it with washers!
