Yup, that's the only difference between the two lids.

If you find a better deal on a lid that's 00+ you can just get a little rubber grommet and block off the hole.

For many years, people around here say "A Lid is a Lid, they all perform about the same."

Then along comes a newbie, who just registered lately, & has minimal posts, ..., & then goes on to tell us all that the "FTP lib is the best".

Gawd-damn-it, ..., I want my phukin' money back from that dam SLP lib I bought 16 times over!

Well then you might want to take the time to check out the comparisons between lids that are posted all over the site.

Actually, someone did a comparison a long time ago - maybe High Performace Pontiac magazine? Most people either weren't paying attention or forget what was said - myself included. But as I remember it (and don't shoot the messenger) the SLP lid actually performed slightly better than the others tested. I don't remember more than that & I could be wrong about the lids but ultimately there isn't much difference.

OK, did some searching and can't find the links anymore but it looks like it was GM High-Tech Performance magazine and maybe an MTI lid came out on top.

Either way, the difference is so nominal that it's just a styling preference.
