go for it, but like said above, i dont think the tranny and rearend will last long if youre beating on it...

Imo it's WAAAAAAAAAAAAY over priced bro. Ask for a new c6 tranny if you're set on doing it. That would certainly help justify the cost. Should have an all new brake system as well for that.
