A few Pics of our 1980 Turbo Trans Am Pace Car
I just finished this car last week....its our 1980 Turbo TA Pace Car with 79K miles. it took over 4 months to get the correct seat covers for it. The oyster hobnail material isn't made aftermarket and being the material was only used in the pace cars its extremely hard to find NOS (new old stock.) After sourcing some I had to get PUI to make them for so they could do the embroidery work...and they were in no hurry. But at any rate its finished and "correct" now.

What a car you should be happy as hell. Was it a pace car in the first place ? Also in High Performance mag the is an old add on your style T/A. It went to the fact that every little add on was for function, an not do dads.

Just incredibly nice once again! Are you keeping this one for yourself or selling it as well? Do you sell most of the cars you get privately or at major auction houses? I'd like to watch them if at auctions. Which ones?

I am also interested in being able to watch those as well. Another amazing firebird in your collection!

Absolutely enjoyed those car show photos. Glad to see other owners attending car shows with their rides. That '81 must have been a real conversation piece. I know I would have been chatting with you. So many people enjoy the Nascar link with cars. I've owned many cars over the years but my Aero (Nascar homologation) gets the most attention.

Thanks for the compliments guys...this is a really nice car, it spent most of its life in the Tupelo Auto Museum...then in storage after they took it off display. During the time in storage the seats yellowed some and the decals faded...that's why they both needed to be replaced. Other than that it was like a new car.
I didn't take any under hood pics...I have no idea why I didn't except I wasn't doing it as a photoshoot to list the car for sale, but rather to just document how well it turned out for the guy that already bought it.
Its already sold...in fact it was sold 15 min after I picked it! I sell the majority of them privately but I do list a few on ebay. Here the auction on the SGM WS6...you can add me to a favorite seller I think and watch them that way.

You must have a thick skin to sell on ebay. I gave up selling for my elderly car club members cars on ebay after all the rotten e/mails from people whining and low-balling. It really got old. Autotrader has much less of that and my success rate is actually better.
Congratulations on the sale!

Love the 2nd Gen Pace Cars! Glad you took the time to do it right.
My friend has an 81 Pace Car signed at Daytona on the Sail Panel by Richard Petty who won the race that year.
The pace cars always get a lot of attention and thumbs up.
