1995 Pontiac Formula Door Lock Question
Hey..
Is there a way to disable the auto door lock in the 95 Formula? Sometimes I just open the door..start it..and let it run for a few min...and when I shut the door...woops..have to go for the extra fob button ...So... How does one shut this feature off?

I'm pretty sure there is a fuse you can pull that will disable the power locks. Check the owner's manual to find which fuse it is and also see if that fuse does anything else. I think it also controls the power seats, if you have them.

I hear ya...Thing is...I would like to keep the power door locks...just wanting to turn off the auto door lock when turning the ignition key if that is possible... I looked through the manual but there isn't any mention of a feature to do it.. I know there is for the 96..but not one I have heard about or can find for my 95

Think I found the issue of turning the key and the doors auto lock...which I don't want...
I have an aftermarket alarm ..Viper...on it.. Something in those settings might be the issue...
Now I just have to go through tuN's of papers in the file cabinet ..back to 1995....and find out the exact Viper alarm....cause where the module is hidden...It would take a bit to get to..to read the model number...and football is just about to start......
or..maybe I can get info off my alarm keyfob... hummmm...

This is interesting. Last year I had a crimeguard system in my car. It worked perfectly for a month. One day I was parking my car and decided for the hell of it to lock the doors with the fob and try to open it with a key (test the system). I opened the door- nothing nada. Nevertheless I felt weary about leaving it in the parking deck.
One day later, I went to start the car (this time I was at home) and the alarm went off. I shut the car off, and the horn shut off. Everytime I went to start it, the alarm went wee-uh-wee-uh-wee-uh
4 months later I was done with aftermarket systems and went with trusty GM equipment. I had the dash out (and even in my room) for a good week. Never looked back (well I did- at the pictures - haha)
