loudmouth or cutout
#2
They are both loud as hell. The cutout gives me some drone inside the car, but I love it. I'm actually going to put on a loudmouth to lose the weight of the stock muffler, and reinstall my electric cutout in the y-pipe. Both are as loud as you can get. Even louder with long tubes and no cats. The cutout is much cheaper and may give you 1-2 horses more than the loudmouth due to less distance for the exhaust gases to travel.

cutout sounds more like muscle....LM sounds too unrefined pretty crappy if you ask me...im going for GMMG with LT's and cats with the possible option of not running cats...so itll be qquiiiiiiiiiite nice

all that resonator does is cause problems...(nothing mechanical) just problems most people hear....interior drone...sounds like your exhaust has no rumble till your going through the RPM range...thats the only time its nice....sounds like a RAPED APE at WOT...but not the good kinda sound more like jsut lots of screaming and whatever...i dont kno if this applies for M6's but the 1-2 gear shift in all the auto's ive heard get this like SPITTING sound between the shifts at WOT...thats why im getting ridda it cuz GMMG spits but its a refined sound it purrs at the top....and also the flow is just as good as LM

I really like the loudmouth, if you drive at a low RPM just cruising, like I think its aroun 2-25grand RPM... you get the drone with the SLP. Its not as bad with the cutout but there is still a bit of a drone. I've heard the loudmouth on the WS6, the Corvette, and the Camaro. Just as a basic bolt on, meaning no headers or cam or heads or anything like that with it. I've driven the Corvette with the SLP and it sounds great, there is always a rumble and it growls and rumbles all the way down through the gears, and on the way up through the gears, it still growls and rumbles, so both ways it sounds perfect. I don't get as much rumble and pop with my cutout as the SLP gives the car, but I am happy with what I have. A friend of ours has a Camaro with the SLP, and it sounds GREAT. I've noticed some internet clips tend to have the RASP to the sound, but from what I have heard in real life, I dont hear it at all. SLP is a good choice if you don't mind the resognation... the cutout is a quieter IMO.

tell your buddy WOT off the line...youll hear it between 4500-6500 RPMs....and depending on cars between shifts....its a great exhaust dont get me rong awesome jsut awesome performance....jsut not very good of a sound...sit in the car and do WOT you hear rasp....stand outside the car WOT you hear rasp...its never ending....if you ewant get a muffler in place of the resonator itll do you the same performance if its a straight through muffler....and sound 100 times better

I have a cut-out on my Corsa, and If I had to do it over again, I would just put a QTP electric cut-out on my stock system too. http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/index.html

I have the complete SLP system LT, LM and Y and yes there is some rasp for daily driving, but that’s all easily controlled with the M6, and actually at full throttle WOT it sounds mean as Hell, I will be going to the electric cutout soon though but as to what to do (cut out or exhaust) it all depends on what your long term goals are the cutout will get you there quicker, and for allot less money, the full exhaust option is a bit pricey, but if you plan on keeping the car, as I do than well worth it IMO Good Luck

The performnce from a cutout is great, but there is no sound control especially if you climb hills. On the highway at WOT, first some carbon may come out of your exhaust if you haven't got on it for a while(embarassing) and you may hear popping due to turbulence in your pipes as you shut down.
