New TA owner here... So dont kill the newb!

Are they just loud in general when the eyes open up or are turned off? They only come up when I turn the lights on... just wondering if that is normal.

Ok I'm confused how do you raise the headlight manually for a 98-02? The website in the link shows for a 93-97 and the video for 98-02 doesnt work for me

NO, you pull it and it comes out and you can turn the gear. Once you get it off, i dont think you'll ever get that rubber piece back in there I just left mine out.

There should be a rubber boot that you remove and then just spin the gear.

mine did the same thing, when the gears strip they open all the damn time like when you turn on your parking lights thats why they open when you unlock your doors because the parking lights flash

yeah, mine did the same ****, i have no idea why it does it, but once one of your gears strips out, you lights go up and down anytime you use the lock or unlock button.

The headlight control module checks the status of the motors when you lock/unlock the doors, to see if they are down/up. With a stripped gear, the module does not detect the load its looking for, and cycles the lights to make sure they are down. Im sure someone else can go into more detail about it but that basically sums it up...as far as I know at least.
