Default Hello from across the pond

Hi, Thought i'd introduce myself, I'm from the UK and have been looking for an ls1 4th gen since selling my 1998 Firebird last year.

Picture attached. Loved the colour etc. just lacked the v8 otherwise i would have kept it!

Welcome! That's a gorgeous car you had, love the color. I imagine 4th gens are pretty hard to find over there, good luck in your search

Yeah, not many over here. I've had to extend my search to all over Europe!

Hi there, if I'm not mistaken, that's the same color as my Formula. Blue Green Chameleon. I love it! Good luck on your search, and welcome!

Welcome and good luck with the search. I just had a guy from Liecester, UK come over here to our work for a few weeks. I took him out in my WS6, even let him drive it, he said he had a blast. Now he said he is wanting a Trans Am back over there when he heads back.

Welcome! A Firebird (or Camaro) of any generation is certainly a rare thing in Europe. Good luck with your search. You might consider buying one from North America, and having it shipped over.

We lived in West Germany in the 1980s, and a friend's dad drove a 1979 Trans Am. He purchased it from a German dealer, and then shipped it home after he transferred back to Canada. The techs at the dealership were quite intrigued by it when he came in for service, as few of them had ever seen an F-body at the time. Beside his car, I can't recall ever seeing another F-body during the time we lived there.

I keep hoping a 4th Gen Trans Am will appear on "Wheeler Dealers"!

They are RPM 505's. 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the rear.
