Hey guys. So I got a ram air intake and put it onto my trams am yesterday. Today when I was driving my car started over heating. Is that related to the ram air intake?
I didn't do anything. The car was running fine yesterday before I put the ram air intake onto it. Today I was driving on the highway and my car over heated. Just wondering if the intake had anything to do with it.
This should not be. Remove the Ram Air setup and go back to what you had and see if the problem goes away.
Okay everyone, so I went to the mechanic this morning. It turns out that my radiator hoes were on backwards. I've been driving the car for a year and it was fine up until now. My question now is if I've been driving for a year without a problem, why did it overheat out of the blue yesterday. The coolent level was where it's supposed to be......
One more question if you guys don't mind. The security light went on after the car overheated. Why? And how do I turn it off?
Well that answers the overheating question. Why it happened now will remain a mystery.
What year is the car?
Make sure the contacts on the ignition key are clean. Does the remote work?
The security & cooling systems have nothing to do with each other, it's another mystery what everything acted up at the same time.

It's a 2000 trans am, but not a ws6. I recently found a trans am that was crashed and I got the original radio out of it. The radio works great, but could that have anything to do with it?
I forgot to answer your question. The keys are clean, and one of the original remotes works. My spare remote doesn't work.
