Hurricane Francine rolled though yesterday with no shortage of water. I think my butt chewed a hole in the couch from puckering. Worst flooding we've had since Katrina I believe.
Thought the V and 4Runner were goners for sure (more so the V) but we lucked out. Water creeped up to the front and rear doors and we had maybe two inches in the garage. The V had water past the lower door seal but somehow stayed dry inside. Should not have backed in in hindsight but no one expected it to sit over us like that. Water really rises quicker than you'd think.
Moved the 4runner out the street as the water started rising and good thing I did bc I would have had some wet carpet if I didnt.
Overall we really got lucky. Goes to show how quickly things can go left.
