Default 4th gen steering shaft

Does anyone make a replacement steering shaft for say a 94 v6 bird? Did some google searching but just keep finding "lightweight columns". Hopefully something that eliminates the rag joint as well.

Thanks! Exactly what i needed i can handle that. Didnt think about using an ls shaft but that will work just as well as anything else.

Let us know how it goes for you. It'd be nice to have some more first hand experience for people in the same situation.

Quick question, I'm getting ready to order an LS steering shaft and I'm wondering if an LS car steering gear will bolt up to my k member. I'm getting ready to drop in a 6.0 anyways and I'm wondering if I'll need the extra clearance from the angle of the LS gear.

Sorry should provide more info, car is a 94 3.4 v6/auto car. Planning on using the hooker ls swap mount brackets to install to the v6 k member.

If by steering gear you mean rack and pinion, yes it will fit with an LS shaft. Did the swap on my car.

Haha yes rack and pinion, sorry that's a habit from my ford dealership days. In parts and shop manual they always refer to racks as "steering gears" so somehow I picked that up. To be honest I didn't even realize I typed it. Thanks tho, maybe I'll be swapping the gear and the shaft together and not worry about modifying a shaft to fit.

If a guy was to swap an LS gea in and planned on possibly looping the steering lines (manual) would you suggest the FE2/FE4 rack or the F41 rack?
